Why Every Good News Brewing Company Pizza Menu Isn’t Exactly the Same

One of the questions we often get about franchising is whether every Good News Brewing Company location has to serve the exact same menu.

The answer is both yes and no.

Every Good News Brewing Company location is built around the same core mission: creating a family-friendly community gathering place centered around craft beer and sourdough pizza. Guests can expect the same commitment to quality, hospitality, and community no matter which location they visit.

But one of the unique things about our franchise model is that we give local owners the freedom to create menu items that connect with their community.

Many franchise systems require strict menu standardization. While consistency is important, we also believe that local ownership should come with local creativity.

When our friends in Alton opened their location, they introduced a pesto pizza that had never been featured at any of our original Good News Brewing Company locations. It quickly became a local favorite.

More recently, our Ferguson location put their own spin on a Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza by adding feta cheese. It’s a simple change, but it creates a completely different flavor profile and gives guests something unique to their community.

That’s one of the things we love most about the Good News Brewing Company franchise family. Every location shares the same foundation, but each owner has the opportunity to add their own personality, creativity, and local flavor.

At the end of the day, we’re not trying to create identical restaurants. We’re helping local owners create gathering places that reflect the people they serve.
